 The Rice Planters Amateur Golf Tournament, one of the Top Ten amateur events in the country, is slated for July 1-5 at Snee Farm in Mt Pleasant. The four day invitational is celebrating its 33rd anniversary.

James Island County Park will be the site for a July 6th, July 27th and August 10th Charleston Sprint Triathlon. The 7:15 am star will see competitors swim 0.3 miles in the freshwater lake, bike the 13 mile course followed by a 5K run. Wow! The dog park will be closed until 10am on these days to accommodated the series.
