North Charleston is abuzz with news of the 2009 Cottage Living Idea Home to be built in Mixon. Showcasing innovative green design, the home should be ready for tours by Summer 2009 and featured in the magazine in October 2009. Woodlands Inn Summerville has been notified that it has retained its AAA Five Diamond status for lodging and dining, one of only four properties nationwide.
The Boathouse on Ellis Creek will open in mid-February in the Mimi’s location on James Island. Mimi’s will close the end of the year.
Magnolia Plantation is undertaking a 15 year renovation of its historic romantic-style garden, America’s oldest garden and the last large-scale, U.S. romantic garden.
